    ABOUT US

Material Recycling is the process in which asphalt, concrete, rock, brick and earth are hauled off site to Greenway’s material recycling facility. There the material is crushed, sized and processed to create a product that is suitable to reuse as base material for driveways and parking lots.

    GREEN METHODS THAT WE IMPLEMENT:

Full Depth Reclamation is the process by which asphalt is pulverized and reintroduced in to the existing base. Mixing in the pulverized asphalt with the sub-base strengthens and stabilizes the base. By using this green method, pavement does not need to be hauled away, new base material does not need to be trucked in, and landfill space is saved. In addition, the need for mining, crushing, and processing of virgin materials is reduced.

Milling is the process by which asphalt is profiled to a desired depth. The milled asphalt, also known as “millings,” is reduced to a 1/4″ size, conveyed into a dump truck, and hauled off site to an asphalt production plant. There, it is mixed with virgin materials to make new pavement. The quality of asphalt made with RAP is just as good as, or even better than, pavements made from all-new materials.

Material Recycling is the process in which asphalt, concrete, rock, brick and earth are hauled off site to Greenway’s material recycling facility. A crushing machine is then used to take the material, crush it into a manageable size, and mix it to create a product that is suitable to reuse as base material for driveways and parking lots.
